Papillon Creations Part Six and a Cute Interlude !!!

After the brain frazzling adventure of Papillon Creations part five I decided to do something mindless and created a little felt cutie.  I made a little gingerbread man out of some scrap felt I had.  It only took a couple of hours and was the perfect tonic to restore my faculties !!!!!

After this I decided to give part six a go.  I was so surprised, despite the cutwork, this really stitched up very quickly.  It only took me a couple of sessions (I had already done the outline).  I was so intimidated when I saw the Greek crosses but the instructions were really well written that it only took me a couple of practice squares on a scrap piece of fabric before I felt confident enough to give it a go for real.  I still get so frightened when cutting the fabric, but I guess that is because it is only my second time of doing Hardanger and it may lessen with more experience.

I am now working on page two of Fractal Bookmark 292.  This is only a partial page so shouldn't take too long to stitch up.  Since it has been a while since I worked on this, here is a picture of where I left it last.

Happy Stitching Everybody,

P.S.  it is time for this months IHSW this weekend, please click on the link in my sidebar for more info.

  1. The gingerbread man is cute. Great job on your specialty stitches and Hardanger cut work. I have never tried!
