Summer Stitching !!!!

I spent yesterday looking and counting up my WIPs, for all the crafts I do:

21 !!!!!! That is far too many for me to feel comfortable, I need to get this down to at least 10.  In the spirit of this I think realistically I can complete 6 of these by the end of the year. Until 2017 I will therefore be concentrating on:
1. Circle to Square Crochet blanket
2.  Happi Sampler
3.  Frog SAL
4.  Halloween Part 2
5.  Flowering Garden and
6.  Tom the teddy

In the spirit of this I pulled out flowering garden to focus on alongside my circle to square blanket and Happi sampler (the first few projects to work on).  When I last worked on it it looked like this:

Hopefully I'll have some progress by the end of the week.

A Little Late Birth Sampler !!!!

So while I'm at college I'm just picking up whichever WIP I want to work on for that week, and I'll get back on track with my rotation. I'm still then making progress on my WIPS but I'm not then tied down to a complicated project whilst studying. In that vein I put my Christmas project to one side, and started work again on my nieces baby sampler. She is now two so I should get it done soon haha !!! It's a dimensions kit called Happi Tree. It's a really easy kit but quite large. I started it last year and did the little dog then pulled it out a couple of weeks ago and did the rest ...

I should be back next week with a finish on my Christmas project !!

Christmas in February !!!

So I wasn't quite ready to restart treat yourself after finishing my sleeping piece last week. So I pulled out another project I have had on the go, I started this at the end of last year. It is a freebie from The Nebby Needle Facebook group and I love it. It is also my first time using GAST, they are absolutely gorgeous !!!!! I am also using marble DMC in 28 count which is a first as well. It shouldn't take long to finish off. I am sticking to these smaller projects whilst at work and college, when I finish in June I will work on my rotation and bigger WIPs again ...

A Finish !!

I had a finish this week even though college has stepped up a gear in terms of work !!! I loved this design, I stitched it on black 14 count aida with DMC threads. It was a freebie design by geeky little stitcher on Instagram. It was a lovely stitch with a well written, no error pattern:

I also had a little spending time this week and bought this cool calendar from Rymans, a stationers. It's really cute and was half price, so what can you do ?!?!?

Weekly Progress !!!

So only a little progress this week, as I was working on treat yourself I realised there wasn't enough fabric to complete the design, annoying since it was a magazine kit. I've got some new fabric though and I'm going to restart it. A bit frustrating but I hadn't spent too long on it !! After that mini disaster I picked up another small to work on, this is a cute design that says 'I'd rather be sleeping' by geekylittlestitcher on etsy. It was given to followers on Instagram as a freebie. I've nearly finished it:
